Emerging Leaders Rotational Program


The Emerging Leaders Program allows recent undergraduates to explore different roles and functions early in their careers. With a heavy focus on development, the program aims to broaden and refine your skills, putting you on a fast track to success. By getting hands-on experience in different roles, you will be well-rounded and equipped for whichever direction you decide to take your career. You will have networking opportunities with senior executives across the organization. Additionally, you will benefit from 1-on-1 mentorships with leaders. Alumni of the program go on to receive leadership positions and are highly recognized and valued across the organization.


As an ELP Associate, you will spend eight months working on each of the following teams:


Strategic Initiatives Group

  • Reporting directly to the CEO, the group works on high priority initiatives and regularly engages with senior management across functional areas (e.g., Operations, Finance) and business lines.
  • This small, dynamic and collaborative team provides a high-level overview of the business and will allow you to work on projects aimed at optimizing business performance.
  • You will gain skills in project management, executive presentations, market research and quantitative analysis.


Finance Business Partners

  • As a partner and trusted advisor to the business, finance business partners provide financial analysis that will help executives make strategic decisions.
  • Beyond analyzing a product, project or segment, the team transforms data into relevant and meaningful insights that executives rely on to make the informed choices.
  • You will get hands-on experience with financial modeling, management reporting, executive dashboards and more that will sharpen and polish your technical skills.


Business segments

  • Our lines of business are Individual Retirement, Group Retirement, Protection Solutions and AllianceBernstein. Each of our businesses is a leader in select markets with teams dedicated to serving our clients.
  • By diving into a business, you will quickly learn about the types of products and advice we offer to our clients and how we are differentiated in the marketplace. You will become well-versed in how the business operates and get a deeper understanding of what variables drive performance.
  • Projects within the business will range from financial reporting, interacting with clients, product analysis, business development Your managers will be a great resource for improving your understanding of the business and seeing how it relates to overall company strategy and performance.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (expected graduation date Spring 2020)
  • Previous work or internship experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Work or internship experience in the financial services industry
  • Demonstrated work ethic and high work standards
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaboration and teamwork
  • Leadership experience
