AXA Belgium’s IT project teams are moving with the times! In an environment in a state of flux, the transition towards the Agile methodology enables us to expand our team with an m/f PMO / Portfolio Manager with more strategic responsibilities.
This “PMO 2.0” will serve as the right-hand man/woman of the Features Managers to ensure
the smooth running of a portfolio of projects for an entire department, and to
cast a critical eye over the budgetary analyses and allocations.
  • You will ensure budgetary compliance of an IT department and see to it that the investments made in the project portfolio are kept under control and in line with the Business strategy.
  • You will provide a consolidated and transparent view to all stakeholders (Finance, Accounts, Vendors, Project Managers, Features Management, etc.) of the budget consumptions and estimates/forecasts, prepare pertinent analyses and launch proposals for disruptive solutions so as to facilitate decision-making processes.
  • You will contribute to the overall IT Management portfolio effort by delivering transparent reports on the risks and opportunities of your portfolio, thereby enabling Management to conduct arbitrage transactions with full knowledge of the facts.
  • You will ensure the quality of the estimates by preparing budgetary entry and follow-up tools and by providing support to the Features and Product Managers.
  • You are in the lead of the management bodies of your department (preparations, reports and presentations follow-up, etc.)
  • You are in the lead of all budgetary exercises for your department (Efficiency, Targets, Landing, defining budgets N+1, etc.)
  • As the SPOC for the CIO Office, you will centralise and resolve all pending queries regarding the creation and follow-up of supplier orders, softwares, etc.


  • Ideally, you have previous experience as a Project Manager.
  • You are capable of following up on and managing budgets of several tens of millions of euros.
  • You are able to both focus on the details of a project whilst adopting a broad-based and strategic view of a portfolio.
  • Ideally, you have some initial experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
In addition:
  • You are client-centered, patient, and have good educational and diplomacy skills in the
  • way you deal with requests.
  • You are an excellent communicator with people at every level.
  • You are able to adapt to an environment in the throes of change (from Waterfall to Agile).
  • You are flexible, dynamic and creative, capable of using your own initiative to efficiently manage your duties.
  • You are solution-focused, naturally inquisitive and eager to learn, you do not buckle easily under stress or in the face of barriers.
  • We welcome your contribution to the optimisation of the PMO processes.
  • You are able to conduct your duties in English and have conversational level French or Dutch.
