The Process and Controls Improvement Analyst reports to Director - Process Improvement Lead of Finance Business Operations (FBO) who in turn reports to the Head of FBO, a member of the AXA Equitable Finance Executive Leadership Team. FBO is a strategic process advisory and results delivery team which supports the overall AXA US Finance organization. Its mission is to optimize the end to end Finance operating model through continuous review of process performance and design and implementation of critical strategic improvement initiatives with a focus on automation, controls, efficiency and enhancing stakeholder experience. The Process and Controls Improvement Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation of process, financial controls and data governance standards across the Finance service delivery model to ensure consistent, high quality delivery of financial reporting requirements in an efficient, well controlled and timely manner. This role is a critical member of the team which provides process design and implementation services, including process and controls diagnostic reviews to identify continuous process improvement areas, business requirements development, and initial rollout training and monitoring of significant Finance operations process and technology initiatives. This role partners closely with key stakeholders to provide optimal use of automation in alignment with enterprise standards to enhance the effectiveness of controls and efficiency of the operating model.

Key responsibilities include the following:
• Manage the consistent and successful implementation of process design and control standards for critical Finance processes which align with industry best practices, emerging technology solutions, and regulatory requirements
• Perform process and controls diagnostic reviews to identify operating model improvement opportunities and facilitate workshops to provide solutions recommendations
• Effectively collaborate with process implementation resources within FBO including business analysts to develop process design visualization and deliverables, business requirements documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for implementation execution
• Partner with enterprise areas including Risk Management, SOX Program Management Office, IT and the Data Analytics Office to implement strategic operating model solutions which align with enterprise risk management and data/IT architecture standards and ensure optimal use of automation for efficiency
• Manage the ongoing monitoring of Finance process key performance Indicators (KPIs) and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide training to support new implementations and ongoing knowledge management of critical Finance processes
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred
• Experience with process management methodologies (Six Sigma, LEAN, Agile, DevOps) required, certifications preferred
• 5+ years related work experience, professional services/consulting experience a plus
• Excellent written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to present insights to executive stakeholders
• Demonstrated innovation and problem-solving skillsets with a focus on root cause analysis and targeted solutions development and implementation
• Solid business acumen with competence in data flows, technologies, risk assessments, and controls
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with stakeholders across the enterprise to drive decision-making and conflict resolution
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Process Management Documentation Tools (Visio, Blueworks, etc)
