AXA Equitable's Tax Department is looking for a skilled, highly motivated tax professional with tax technology expertise. The Tax Department is comprised of functional and technical specialists who work on a broad range of insurance tax issues. The close-knit, dynamic team wants to add a resource with CorpTax knowledge and experience to help streamline and innovate the tax process. The position will involve exposure to all functional tax areas from a technological efficiency perspective: financial reporting, compliance, planning and controls. The candidate will have high visibility to senior tax management and will have key role in the tax transformation process. 


Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate the preparation and review of Federal and State tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms in CorpTax
  • Lead involvement in the optimization of CorpTax provisions
  • Plan for and develop overall provision and return calendar using tool-based approach
  • Help implement effective control procedures using technology solutions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of tax experience and familiarity with tax technology applications, preferably CorpTax. 
  • Public accounting and/or insurance industry experience preferred, as well as CPA/Masters in Tax designation. 
  • Must have the ability to work independently and identify/troubleshoot issues. 
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and communicate clearly with senior tax management are essential. 
  • The candidate should have strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations as well as experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
